Plymouth celebrates Women's Week with series of free activities
FREE activities are being held in the city to celebrate Women's Week.
From today, women will be celebrated across the city with a range of activities and events.
From gentle exercise to women's health advice and healthy eating tips, each day aims to have a different theme – culminating in International Women's Day on Friday.
Everything kicks off at 9.30am each morning at Morice Baptist Church in Ham Drive, with coffee and teacakes.

Today the theme is keeping active while tomorrow the focus turns to getting what you want out of life. Then on Wednesday the city will be looking at women's health and on Thursday the onus will be on cooking healthy meals. As well as the taster sessions, there will also be opportunities to get advice about changes to benefits and training.
Then on Friday the city will celebrate International Women's Day with the Plymouth and District Soroptimist International event at the Roland Levinsky building.
Councillor Chris Penberthy, Cabinet member for Co-operatives and community development, said: "Plymouth Women's Week and International Women's Day are an opportunity for us to not only celebrate the achievements of women but importantly to shine a spotlight on some of the issues that affect women in our city."
A six-week Friday morning club will begin in April aimed at improving confidence and offering money advice.
