Plymouth garage fire was arson attack

A fire behind a Plymouth pub is being treated as arson.

Two fire crews from Camels Head were called following a call from a member of the public reporting a garage on fire at the rear of the Cherry Tree pub in Ham Drive, Pennycross.

On arrival at 6:15am crews confirmed this was a single storey end of terrace garage involved with approx 20 per cent of the door damaged by fire and inside heavily smoke logged.

Crews extinguished it using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one thermal image camera and a positive pressure ventilation fan.
