"Bowel cancer remains the UK's second biggest cancer killer – yet 90 per cent of cases could be treated successfully if they are caught early."
In order to raise money towards her sponsorship she has organised a charity dinner and auction at the Royal Oak Inn, in Meavy, on Thursday evening.
Rebecca added: "I have truly been amazed by the support I have received from local businesses in order to make this event a success.
"The dinner is being supported by the suppliers Dartmoor Farmers, Howells Butchers, of Tavistock, Tamar Valley Fruiterers, Caterfood, of Paignton, Moby Nicks, of Plymouth and St Austell Brewery.
"The auction offers plenty of enticing prizes including an Audi TT Roadster or A5 Cabriolet, a Plymouth Gin Distillery Tour, April Media song recording experience, one night's stay at Bovey Castle and a one-day masterclass with MasterChef winner Anton Piotrowski at The Treby Arms, Sparkwell."
