Plymouth teenager appears at court to face sexual assault charges on a girl under 16
A TEENAGER accused of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 16 has had his case sent to crown court.
Jamie Whtye, of Rothesay Gardens, Whitleigh, appeared before Plymouth Magistrates court yesterday charged with six offences.

Whyte, aged 19, is charged with assaulting a girl under 16 by penetration, assault by sexual touching, inciting a girl under 16 to engage in sexual activity, causing a girl under 16 to watch a sexual act, causing a girl under 16 to look at an image of sexual activity and one count of exposure.
The girl cannot be named for legal reasons.
The offences occurred between August 26, 2008 and May 31, 2012. All six charges related to the same alleged victim.
Magistrates said the case was so serious it must be heard at Plymouth Crown Court.
Whyte was granted unconditional bail and will next appear at Plymouth Crown Court on March 11 for a preliminary hearing and a plea and case management hearing on June 3.
