A THEATRE group is saddling up for a musical tribute to the American frontier.
Songs from Hollywood musicals and scenes from Carry On Cowboy and Little House on the Prairie feature in Way Out West by DJR School of Performing Arts.

The cast features Jessica Luscombe as Annie Oakley, Joseph Large as Frank Butler and Chloe Turner as Dolly Tate.
Lola Beal plays Calamity Jane, Megan Witt is Katie Brown, Shannah Russell is Aunt Eller, Aoife Knox is Laurey and Matt Smith is Curly.

Thomas O'Brien is Charlie Davenport, William Hexter plays Will Parker, Rhiannon Witt is Ado Annie and Bailey Cameron takes the role of Chief Sitting Bull.
The busy young players have put the show together in seven weeks flat.
Way Out West is directed by David Bailey and Liz Fedrick and choreographed by Carly Rice.
The show opened last night at the Devonport Playhouse, with performances on tonight at 2.30pm and 7pm.
