Plymouth is 'totally behind Argyle' – says council chief Tudor Evans
CITY council leader Tudor Evans is cheering on Plymouth Argyle today in their battle to beat the drop.
He has urged fans to pack the stands for the crucial League Two relegation fight against fellow strugglers Barnet this afternoon.

Mr Evans said the game, and Argyle's struggle to stay in the Football League, mattered far outside Home Park.
"Argyle and the Green Army make an important economic contribution," he said.

"It's vital that we maintain our league status for the reputation of our city's club, but also for the impact on the economy.
"I'll be right behind Plymouth Argyle supporting them today as I do every week.
"We've been in this situation before and we fought and fought and that's what we shall do again.
"I know the players will be giving it their all and the city will be 100 per cent behind them."
The club has cut ticket prices to £10 and pushed for a big gate for today's game, which kicks off at 3pm.
Adults who bring a copy of The Herald can take a child in free.
Barnet are one place above bottom-of-the-table Argyle.
Mr Evans comments come after a prominent business leader emphasised the key role the football club plays in the Plymouth economy.
Tim Jones, chairman of Devon and Cornwall Business Council said the club was "worth millions of pounds a year to the local economy".
The club brought in visitors, generated income and had a supply chain of local services.
Argyle helped promote awareness of the city and a successful club made Plymouth more attractive to inward investors, said Mr Jones.
Victory against Barnet today would close the gap on the teams above Argyle and could kick-start their push for survival in the Football League.
Defeat could leave them six points adrift. Club President Chris Webb said fans had a key role to play in helping the club rise up the table.
"A packed Home Park in full voice is a massive boost to the team," he said. "The fans are magnificent."

“If the economy of Plymouth was stronger then footy fans in the city would be able to get to see their teams more often.......
As long as the Council realise that Argyle are not the most supported team in Plymouth.
My guess is that Liverpool are the most supported team here.”
