Poetry readings at gallery night

PLYMOUTH'S top poets are due to read their work tonight at the closure of a photographic and poetry exhibition based around city wordsmith Kenny Knight's The Honicknowle Book of the Dead.

Steve Spence, Tim Mills, Norman Jope, Sandra Tappenden, Anthony Caleshu, Jason Hirons and Andrew Brewerton will be reading their work, alongside Mr Knight, at the Pipe Gallery, in the Barbican's New Street, from 7pm.

The exhibition, which also features photos from Peter Davey, has been running at the gallery for two weeks.
