Police arrest man in Fraddon garage armed robbery case

A man has been arrested by officers in the Plymouth area and he is due to be questioned by detectives from Newquay later today.

Detectives hunting an armed robber who stole scratch cards from a Cornwall garage have identified a suspect who they would like to locate and speak to as soon as possible.

The suspect is Adam Peters, 23, believed to be from the Whitleigh area of Plymouth although his current whereabouts is unknown.

Police advise not to approach this man if they see him or know his whereabouts. Call 999 immediately and quote crime number GC/12/363.

The robbery occurred on Monday 17th September after officers were called to the Shell garage in Fraddon to reports that a masked man with a handgun had made off with a quantity of scratchcards at around 10.30pm.

Police had appealed to youngsters who gather and meet at the nearby McDonalds for any information they might have.
