Police detain man on Tamar Bridge in Plymouth
Police have reported that they have successfully managed to prevent a man from jumping from the Tamar Bridge.
Passers-by called the police out of concern for the man’s safety at 1:40pm and reported that he was ‘making threats’ on the bridge which links Devon and Cornwall.

The police at the scene stated that they had managed to ‘prevent a person from jumping’ after detaining him at 3:15pm.
Tamar Bridge control room confirmed they had kept all lanes open during the incident and traffic was kept fluid.
