Police release description of attacker who punched man in the face
A man was punched in the face during an assault in Barnstaple, say police.
The assault happened around 10pm on Saturday September 1 outside The Holiday Shop on Queen Street.

The victim was punched in the face by another man and fell to the floor where he was punched again.
The 44-year-old man, from Barnstaple, suffered facial injuries in the assault.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault and have released the description of an offender they are seeking.
He is described as white with a tanned complexion and blond hair. He was around 5ft 7ins tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a light coloured top, khaki three-quarter length shorts and light coloured workman’s boots.
