Plymouth police to stage action day in Mutley and Greenbank
NEIGHBOURHOOD cops in Mutley and Greenbank will be holding a 'day of action' on Wednesday to crack down on vehicle crime and help migrant workers.
The officers will be taking part in a number of activities alongside partner agencies to help keep people safe and their property secure.
As part of the event neighbourhood officers will be at the Costa Coffee store in Mutley Plain from 10am to 11am to answer questions from local residents.
Other members of the neighbourhood team, supported by the Plymouth Local community partnership and the local fire service, will be present outside the Baptist Church on Mutley Plain to offer Crime Prevention advice and reassurance to the local community.

Pc Paul Weeks said: "There are a number of initiatives being conducted.
"We have a large migrant worker community in this area and have drawn from police resources and the fire service a number of European language speaking staff in order to engage with them effectively to address any issues or concerns they may have.
"From a crime aspect we have seen a trend of vehicle number plates being stolen which are then used on other vehicles involved in criminality such as stealing fuel or to avoid offences detected by cameras. To address this we have a limited number of anti-plate theft kits available free of charge to give to concerned motorist from our crime prevention stall."

“And these are the same police who like to tell you how they're putting their lives on the line. The same police who attended a remembrance day parade carrying bloody tasers, because remembrance day parades are noted for turning violent. There went the last shred of my respect for the police.”

“Well Well Well
A total waste of resources, public funds, tax payers money, police time, firemens time
Another exercise that "Is being seen to be done" for the benefit of the local residents"
This will not achieve anything
Strange how these " Up their own backside dooo- gooders" which are full their own piddle and self importance think and believe they can convert the corrupt,
We all know what needs to be done, should be done and how it should or could be stopped, but as we all know "That would not be allowed"
So to be politically correct in all aspects of what they are haveing a day of action for its a case of "Lets have a coffe day - Pacify the locals ,I am sure thousands of residents will be attending, just to know and be fully assured some action is being taken,
I doubt very much if any of the local rogues, dealers, car thieves or any illegal imigrants will be there- not during their normal sleeping hours,
Its not between 10am and 11 am that they need to crack down on crime - they need to be seen tackling the problem with zero tolerance and be seen to be active between 9 at night and 7 in the morning,”
