Two young children playing in a garden in Yeovil, Somerset, were shot at with an air rifle. The family, who were in the garden of a house in Mudford Road, heard a whistling sound and an air pellet was seen to hit a concrete post nearby. It is believed the shot came from the area of the flats on Roping Road. The shot was fired at about 6.40pm on Thursday, August 30. Police are now investigating the incident and have appealed for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information should contact PC Brett Paul at Yeovil Police Station on 101.
