Police seize drugs and cash in Torquay raid

POLICE have seized drugs and cash in a raid on a house in the Hele area of Torquay this afternoon.

A police spokesman said the operation, which was prompted by information supplied by the local community, took them to a house in Hele.

They executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act and seized 'a quantity' of a Class B drug and more than £1,000 in cash.

A 48-year-old woman was in custody helping police inquiries at Torquay this afternoon.
