Policing with Paul never boring
A SPECIAL constable from Cullompton was one of six across the Westcountry to be commended for his dedication to Devon and Cornwall Police force.
SC Paul Goodier was honoured with long-service and good conduct medals at a ceremony which was recently held at Padbrook Park, Cullompton.
The officer first joined the special constabulary in 1997 when he started his career in Ottery St Mary.
After a couple of years he became a sergeant before being promoted to special constabulary police inspector for Mid and East Devon, after a break due to personal circumstances, Paul returned as a special to Cullompton, where he now regularly performs mid-week evening duties training new officers.
