PLESSEY SEMICONDUCTOR P&D SNOOKER LEAGUE

IN THE Tuesday Knockout Cup second round, in the all-Premier clash Belgrave A had a superb 5-1 win at Riley's B.

Essa of Division Two were unlucky to go down 4-2 at Division One side The Tavy Club A after leading 2-0 (Mark Hembry 39).

Plaza A of Division One were unlucky to go down 4-2 at Premier side Belgrave B for whom Chris Ackland and John Dyer won both frames. Belgrave F won 4-3 at Riley's D for whom Chris Harper won the deciding frame. In the all-Belgrave clash their D side went down 4-1 at the C side.

GWRSA F of Division One got through 4-3 against second division Riley's S 4-3 with Ken Burch winning the deciding frame.

Riley's P were made to fight all the way against Riley's C eventually winning 4-2.

In the first round of the Tuesday Plate, Tavy Club C beat Belgrave E 4-1 (Barry Blatchford 29). In the all-Division Three clash Belgrave G won 4-2 at Plaza C.

In the Thursday League, Newton Readers B were unlucky to go down 4-1 at home to Elburton B, who won three games on the black. The Tavy Club C beat Newton Readers A 4-1 and Riley's A went down 4-1 at Elburton A who won their seventh consecutive match.

PLYMOUTH SOCIAL CLUBS SNOOKER LEAGUES

THE highest break in the Premier Division this week came from Belgrave F's Mitchell Grinstead, who managed a superb 72 to help his team to a 4-1 win over Belgrave G.

Rileys had Hayden Pinhey make a 52 in a 3-2 win over Plympton Cons A.

In Division One, Belgrave E had Chris Wiles and Nick Croucher make breaks of 29 and a 22 clearance respectively to win their frames. However, they still lost 3-2 to Plympton Cons B.

Stuart Allen made a 27 clearance to win his frame but Keyham Cons still lost 3-2 to Crownhill RBL A, who had Peter Peck win his frame on the black.

Crownhill Family B's Mark Hembry made the highest break so far this season in Division Two when he managed a 40 in a 4-1 win over Ford Cons D.

Stuart D's Jeffery Smith made a 23 to win his frame, but this was the only frame the Stuart side won in a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Ford Cons A.

Colin Corry made a 23 to help City Social to a 4-1 win over Citybus B.

ESSA beat Stuart B 4-1 and are now third in the division.

AA TAXIS PLYMOUTH MONDAY SNOOKER LEAGUE

IN DIVISION B leaders Saltash WM won 4-2 at City Social B to extend their lead to seven points clear of Plymouth Electicity and Ford A who both lost 4-2 respectively to Pennycross A and Stuart A.

Belgrave D had a 5-1 win thanks to two frames each from Roger Searle and Alan Blaikie. Norman Evans won the final two frames for Plymouth Citybus B in a 4-2 win at home to Railways B.

In Division C Rileys A extended their lead at the top to seven points following a 6-0 maximum win at Stuart B. Mitchell Grinstead made an 80 break and a 27 clearance in the same frame for Belgrave B in a 5-1 win over Beacon Park A.

Belgrave A are now second after taking five frames in their home match against GWRSA B, with Dan Medway and Nathan Finch both winning twice.

In Division A Pennycross B are now joint top as they won 4-2 at Rileys B with Peter Moore winning twice with the aid of a 29 break.

They join fellow leaders City Social A who went down 4-2 to Plaza C, who recorded their first win of the season thanks to two frames from Dave Collins.

Belgrave G are one point behind in second after drawing with Keyham Cons and winning an outstanding match against Plaza A 4-2. Plaza A won 4-2 at Belgrave F.

STEVE BROOKSHAW was in terrific form with breaks of 69, 68, 58 and 44 for Keyham in the Roger Ayers Memorial competition. Opponents Elburton B replied with consistent scoring to take a 19-17 victory. Elburton A (John Paddy 24) were held to a 19-19 draw at Noss Mayo.

TORPOINT POOL LEAGUE

NEW leaders MOF A struggled against lower placed opposition only beating 14th placed Trot Inn 5-4. Game of the week saw fifth place Carbeile Inn host sixth place Cons Heroes. Deadlocked at 3-3 after the singles with wins for Ron Stones, John Olford and Tom Full for the Carbeile and Jay Pemberton, Ant Eversfield and Rob Moore for the Heroes, the visitors took two of the three doubles to clinch a 5-4 win and swop positions with Carbeile.
