Praise as Kwik Fit gets new look
A REFURBISHED Kwik Fit centre will be "good news for Plymouth and its motorists", according to a local councillor.
The centre in Octagon Street has undergone a major re-fit, and was reopened by Councillor Ian Tuffin, member for St Peter and the Waterfront, on Wednesday.

The revamped centre will continue to offer the full range of Kwik Fit services including tyres, exhausts, brakes, MoT testing, car servicing, air-con and windscreen repair.
Cllr Tuffin said: "The investment that the new owners of Kwik Fit have poured into the local centre is very good news for Plymouth and its motorists.

"The town is very fortunate that the company selected the Plymouth branch for refurbishment with all the latest technology and equipment over hundreds of others.
"It's commendable that there's an apprenticeship scheme in place to give unemployed young people a helping hand by creating jobs and giving them some valuable career skills.
"I hope young people in Plymouth will see the benefit and apply for the programme."
The centre's reception area has been completely redesigned to promote a more "welcoming and customer-friendly" environment, and the centre has upgraded its wheel alignment equipment.
Centre manager Clive Harkin said: "It's given the staff a real boost that our hard work has been recognised, and that our centre has been given major investment.
"All the team at Octagon Street take great pride in our work and now we have a working environment that matches our ambition to deliver the best possible service.
"It's also good news for the community because we are now armed with top-of-the-range equipment that will allow us to serve our customers even better than before. We are all really excited and can't wait to get going."
On February 2, 3 and 4 Plymouth residents can get 30 per cent off everything all day, and one lucky customer will even get their entire bill paid for.

“This really is excellent news. Perhaps we could run a competition to find a new logo for this fantastic company.
I was thinking of a cartoon of a cheeky untrained monkey stealing money from the handbag of an unsuspecting pensioner. Or maybe just a simple highwayman design?”
