Praise for Pike
MICHAEL Pike's comrades praised him while giving evidence at his inquest.
Soldiers who had been serving alongside Corporal Pike, who grew up in Merton, told his family he was a great soldier at his inquest which was held at North Devon Magistrates' Court last week.
Lance corporal Derek Davidson said: "I just wanted to say I knew Corporal Pike well and he was a good mate."
Corporal Steven Teale added: "To the best of my knowledge Mike wouldn't have felt any pain.
