Police investigation as car is torched in Plymouth

POLICE are investigating after a car was abandoned and set on fire in the early hours of yesterday.

A fire crew tackled a burning Rover Metro which had been left on a bank in Laira at about 3.30am.

The car was severely damaged where it was left in Trefussis Gardens.

Police and fire officers are investigating but the blaze is being treated as suspicious.
