TWO South Devon pubs have won acclaim for the quality and standards of their toilets in the Loo of the Year Awards 2012.

The Talk of the Town, in Torbay Road, Paignton, has been awarded a platinum star rating by inspectors — the highest award possible.

And the Wetherspoon pub, the Green Ginger in the Winter Garden, Torquay, has been awarded a gold star rating.

Authorised inspectors made unannounced visits to hundreds of toilets at sites across the UK.
