RFU reviewing Leeds v Albion match

THE Rugby Football Union have confirmed they are reviewing the circumstances that led to the RFU Championship fixture between Leeds Carnegie and Plymouth Albion moving to uncontested scrums after 13 minutes of play last Sunday.

Referee Matthew Carley made the decision after the new Headingley pitch cut up badly at the first few scrums.

The RFU have said they will make a statement in due course.

Leeds won the match 34-16, running in four tries to Albion's one.
