Reading group for over-50s
THE over-50s are being encouraged to join a newly-formed reading group taking place in Plymstock.
Funded through Plymstock Library, the event will take place at Plymouth Age Concern, at the top of Broadway car park.
The reading group is to be a regular feature at the centre and will be held on the fourth Monday of every month, starting on February 27, from 10.30am to mid-day.
In the afternoon on the same day, at the same location, Norman Hine will give a talk entitled, Hollywood – Millbay Docks, with pictures and the history of film stars who used to come to Plymouth on cruise liners. As a child Mr Hine used to collect autographs from the stars of the screen. The event takes place between 2pm and 3pm.
