Calling all Cornish members of the "Class of '63" – that's those ex-students who attended Bicton College for the autumn intake in 1963.

A reunion of the Cornish lads and lassies who were part of that intake is being held at the college on October 5, and the organisers hope to trace as many as possible so they may attend.

Alan Vague explained: "We were 18 or 19 years old, 15 Cornish out of a group of 50 – the rest from Devon – so we became close friends."

But now contact has been lost with some of them, while others have died.

He added: "We hope to find as many of the Cornish contingent as possible for the reunion. So we are appealing for friends or family members, who can give us some information, to contact us.

"We should also like to include members of staff who taught us."
