NEWTON Abbot College has started a new reward scheme to benefit students who work hard and excel. The Vivo scheme is a new initiative aimed at giving prizes to youngsters who exhibit good behaviour and knuckle down with their studies.

Teachers award points to students and those points are transformed into prizes, such as clothing vouchers and iPods.

"It is a positive reward scheme for students who show outstanding behaviour in their school environment," said Jo Slade, publicity officer at the college.

"Students can check their points online and they have been consulted with regards to what awards are available through the scheme.
