Roads closed in Barnstaple as fire rips through workshop
Firefighters were tackled a large fire at a workshop behind a row of terraced houses in Barnstaple last night.
Four fire crews from Barnstaple, Braunton, Bideford and Ilfracombe were called to the workshops on Pottington Road in Barnstaple at 10:11pm.

It is believed the fire began in a workshop at the end of a terraced property on the corner junction of Rolle Street and Pottington.
Firefighters found the workshop, measuring 10m x 4m, heavily involved in fire and called for the aerial platform to been set up.

A 100 metre cordon was put in place on Pottington Road, Fair View and Rolle Street after fears gas cylinders in the workshop were at risk of exploding.
Police and an ambulance attended and the power was isolated to nearby properties by Western Power.
The fire service said this was due to the gable end being cracked of the premises, and unsure if this area will collapse.
This morning one appliance from Barnstaple revisited the scene and found one hot spot detected, crew at work with one hose reel jet.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious and nobody was injured.
