Roland Taylor allowed back to Hartland home for Christmas after assaulting father
A MAN who assaulted his father at his family home had his bail conditions changed to allow him to return home.
Roland Taylor, 44, appeared before North Devon magistrates' Court last Friday, December 14, after assaulting his father the previous day at their home in 5 Pillman Drive, Hartland.
He pleaded guilty after the court heard how his father had called the police after he became aggressive, causing Taylor to lunge forward and head butt him.
Taylor's sentence was put off for a full report and he was bailed on condition he didn't contact his father or go to their home address. But that condition was dropped on Friday, December 21, after Taylor's tearful father appeared in court to ask that his son be allowed into the family home over Christmas.
