Runaway car demolishes porch near Davidstow
The porch of a house in North Cornwall was completely destroyed at the weekend after a car lost control on the A39 and careered into the building.
The emergency services were called to the crash site near Davidstow at around 3pm on Saturday.
They arrived to find debris strewn across the Tarmac and the large double-glazed porch collapsed on top of a silver Mercedes car. The owners of the house, which stands near a layby just off the main carriageway, were in at the time of the collision but are not believed to have been hurt.
Paramedics were called to the scene although the nature and extent of the driver's injuries are not known. Firefighters from Delabole were also called.

One witness said: "I don't know what started it but the car seems to have lost control, gone over the grass verge, right through the Atlantic Highway sign and a telegraph pole.
"It's then gone into the conservatory and embedded itself. If the conservatory had not been there I am sure it would have gone on to hit the main part of the house."
