Safety advice issued after Teignmouth lifeboat alerts
Teignmouth lifeboat and the coastguard rescue team were called out to reports of stricken swimmer just off Dawlish Warren at 1.45pm this afternoon (Saturday).
There were concerns that the swimmer was in difficulty in rough weather but on arrival crews found the swimmer to be safe and well.
An hour later, the teams were called to reports of a man fallen from his jetski at the mouth of the River Teign, Teignmouth.
They managed to locate the man, still on his jetski, and escorted him back to Teignmouth harbour.
