Saunders hails hitman Bushin
TIVERTON Town manager Mark Saunders has praised the attitude of the in-form Joe Bushin, after the striker scored for the 12th time in the league this season.
The former Dawlish Town hitman netted the opener in Tivvy's 1-1 draw with Cirencester Town on Saturday, converting a cross at the second time of asking from Josh Concanen.
That goal came after Bushin managed a double against Mangotsfield United last week to make it six goals in four games, and 13 in all competitions in Tivvy's last 15 matches.
Such form has led Saunders to hail the striker's character and enthusiasm, although he insisted that Bushin's impressive tally was also down to others impressing in the starting XI.

"Bush is just on fire at the moment – his whole attitude is great," said Saunders, who takes his side to North Leigh tonight (Tuesday).
"It's not that he has changed much – he has always been a very positive lad to have around but he has hit a great run of form and is scoring goals.
"I think his goal tally is already something like one more than last season and we have only just hit November.
"It is just a combination of him playing well, his confidence his high and the team is giving him chances too.
"He may not be the best technically but he is a confident lad and he tries so hard and it is all clicking for him at the moment.
"A lot of the lads are playing well at the moment though. Alex Faux is doing ever so well and Russell Jee is also having a good run in the team.
"He (Jee) was quiet like everyone else on Saturday but he has shown that he is good enough to nail down a regular starting spot this season."
Another potentially-crucial factor in Bushin's fine form is the partnership he has struck up with new signing Dave Pearse, who arrived from Bridgwater Town at the end of last month.
The former Bideford man has linked up well with Bushin since his arrival, although he is yet to break his Tivvy goal duck.
The Yellows also have plenty of other high-calibre strikers waiting in the wing should someone not hit their peak.
Owen Howe is nearing a return to first-team action following his ankle injury sustained against Taunton Town, while Jules Emati-Emati pressed his claims for a starting spot after coming off the bench on Saturday.
Michael Nardiello also impressed with his cameo role in the home win over Winchester City in which he bagged a goal, although his unavailability is a limiting factor.
Saunders says he is delighted he finally has a big enough squad, meaning he can now rotate as he wishes.
"We have a big squad now which is what we wanted and there is plenty of competition for places, so that's great," said Saunders. "I can't even get myself a place on the bench now.
"We can now rest the likes of Kevin Hill and Andy Taylor like we did against Cirencester.
"Joe is probably going to have a dip in form at some point – although I hope it is no time soon – but when he does, we have enough strikers in the squad to give him a rest."
