Jimmy Savile sex attack on patient in the Westcountry
Health chiefs have launched an investigation after it emerged serial sex attacker Jimmy Savile abused a patient at a hospital in the Westcountry.
The disgraced BBC presenter is said to have targeted a victim at Exeter Hospital in 1970, along with two other victims in Exeter. The revelation came yesterday in a report on Savile's offences against children, teenagers and adults spanning decades.

The Giving Victims A Voice report was published by the Metropolitan Police and the NSPCC. It was sparked by The Met's ongoing Operation Yewtree inquiry.
Exeter Hospital is now part of The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. A spokesman said: "NHS organisations in Devon have recently been made aware of this allegation dating back to 1970 and will continue to liaise with the Metropolitan Police."
