Scent of success with flower festival
NEW flower stalls are bringing a splash of colour to Torquay's Union Square shops.
Centre manager Phil Chapman said: "It's like the flower market in Holland."

He explained: "The week-long flower festival has proved to be a considerable draw.
"Trade has been a bit flat for the past two months before the bank holidays and we wanted to do something to draw people into town.

"It has been non-stop business for the stall, with other retailers nearby commenting that they have had very good trading days so far, including F Hinds the jewellers, Inspired Rooms the furniture retailer and Picasso Café."
He said a smaller flower display would continue each Sunday and they are considering holding a week-long flower festival again later in the season.
