A FURTHER education college is hosting a special event to promote new starts in 2013.
City College Plymouth is holding a January New Start event on Tuesday, January 8, between 4pm and 7pm at its Kings Road campus in Devonport.
The event is aimed at people aged between 16 and 18 who are not engaged in employment or training.
It is also for students who may be looking for a further education course or an apprenticeship programme, or those who want to enrol on part-time courses starting in January.

January 2013 starts are available in subjects including construction trades, information technology, media, dance, creative sound engineering, music, live events production, performing arts, sport, leisure, public services and travel and tourism, the college says.
Staff from its work-based learning department will also be on hand at the event to discuss apprenticeship programmes, the Prince's Trust Team Programme, Jumpstart and its Personalised Learning Programme.
Kate Morris, events officer at the college, said: "This is traditionally a time that people re-assess what they are doing and where they are going."
