This is the first time Herald readers have been handed this power.

The club's kit suppliers, Puma, have provided three options. All you have to do is vote on which one you prefer.

Gordon said he had gone for the option called Evoque, which he said was the most interesting of the three choices.

He cast his vote before the weekend home game against Gillingham. A late equaliser denied Argyle three points, but Gordon welcomed the improved performance.

"Every club goes through a trough. Let's hope we've had ours," he said.

The kit with the most votes by Wednesday, December 5 will be the home shirt Argyle will wear next season.

Supporters can vote for their favourite shirt by coupon (below), or by text or online.

People voting by coupon or text could win one of a number of fabulous prizes. They include the chance to be part of a Pilgrims' official team picture next season; the chance to win the first new shirt out of the factory with your name printed on it and the chance to win a VIP day out at Home Park and meet the manager Carl Fletcher and players.

Five readers will also win one of the new shirts.

You can vote with the coupons or by text as many times as you like.

The three shirt designs vying for your votes are called Evoque, Spirit and Prince.

“There's not much to choose from a poor bunch.

James Brent promised the supporters could choose. But I assume it's not the club's fault. (I don't know.) I assume it is what is given to them by the manufacturers. They have the say not the supporters or the club. Football has sold its soul.

Last season there were some superb designs by someone on pasoti. They received universal praise from most of the internet supporters. Why couldn't those be put forward to the vote?”

“It's not really giving people the power to decide is it when the only options are slight variations of the same design!”

“Waste of time - they're all hideous. Get rid of that awful, turgid bottle green and bring back emerald.”
