Speed along to see ice extravaganza
The Westcountry was given a glimpse of what it can expect as the stars of Holiday on Ice’s latest show paid a visit to Exeter City Centre.
Forest Ryan McKinnon, Melody Le Moal, Lisa Mochoziu and Mauro Bruni all took to the streets around Exeter’s Guildhall in advance of today’s UK premiere of the two-hour ice-skating spectacular Speed.

The action-packed extravaganza begins its four-day, eight-show run at Westpoint tonight at 7.30pm and promises fun for all ages – and certainly more daring than last year’s Barry Manilow-themed event, Tropicana.
Featuring skaters, dancers and aerial artists from all over the world, Speed takes a musical journey across two acts and ten themed chapters.

The show combines death-defying stunts, burlesque, skating, dance and circus in an outrageous show that for the first time drafts in motorcycles for some fast, full-of- adrenalin fun.
“It is really outside the box,” said principal male skater Forest Ryan McKinnon. “You think it’s an ice skating show, and that we’ll just be posing and waving... but it’s not like that.
“How many times can you see the same ice show?
“Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with all the glitz and the glam, but this one is right out there. It’s amazing.”
