St Mellion gear up for Salver clash with Looe
ST MELLION are set to face Looe in the Cornwall Golf Union's Frank Wills Salver econd round at Whitsand Bay Golf Club tomorrow.
At the same time, Whitsand Bay's team travel to play Falmouth along the south coast at Carlyon Bay in one of a handful of second round ties.
Falmouth beat Merlin 4-1 in the first round while Whitsand Bay overcame Bude and North Cornwall 3-2.
Trethorne are due to play Cape Cornwall at Merlin in their second round tie today.

Meanwhile, the CGU Cornwall Team Championship has progressed with the line-up for the Sunday, November 18 quarter-finals now in place.
Tony Marsland scored a hole in one as Newquay beat Truro 7-5¾ at West Cornwall to reach the CTC last eight.
Marsland scored his ace while partnering Dave Chapman in the morning foursomes as Newquay teed up a CTC quarter-final against West Cornwall.
Holders Trevose will meet north coast neighbours St Enodoc, who triumphed 9¾-3 over St Austell in the clash of the saints at Camborne's Tehidy Park.
Bude beat St Austell club Carlyon Bay 8¼-4½ at Perranporth to set up a quarter-final against Tehidy Park while last season's runners-up Perranporth have already been drawn to play St Mellion.
All the quarter-final ties are due to be held on November 18, weather-permitting, with venues to be confirmed.
Trevose, Tehidy Park, Perranporth, St Mellion and West Cornwall received first round byes.
In Cornwall Bowl first round ties, Bude beat St Mellion 5-0, Porthpean pipped China Fleet 3-2 and Launceston lost 3-2 to Budock Vean.
Whitsand Bay beat Radnor 4½-½, Trethorne triumphed over Roserrow 4-1 and Looe beat Treloy 3½-1½.
