Strike hits bus services
BUS passengers in Devon had their travel disrupted last week when First Group employees came out on a 24-hour strike.
The decision to take industrial action was linked to a pay dispute and bus drivers who are part of the RMT Union took part in the walk out. Passengers were left with no First Bus services operating in the Mid Devon area when the strike action began at midnight on Thursday.
The No 92 Tiverton and Cullompton to Taunton bus operated as it is part of First Bristol, Bath and West. Normal services were resumed on Friday.
During the strike only four services continued to run in the Plymouth and Tavistock areas.
