PRINCE Philip was in hot water again after making a gaffe with a young Sea Cadet yesterday.

The Duke, who has a reputation for making controversial remarks, asked Elizabeth Rendle, 24, if she worked in a strip club.

He had asked the Barnstaple-based cadet where she worked. She said: "I told him I worked in a club. He then asked if it was a strip club. Then he said it was too cold anyway."

Barmaid Miss Rendle said the Duke had been speaking to a group of adults when he made the remark.

The nightclub worker said: "He was just going round chatting with people, asking them what they did for a living. It was a joke and we were all laughing which drew everyone else's attention to us.

"It was a joke and I didn't take any offence. I think he was just putting people at their ease."
