5pm: A newly-wed couple were shocked to discover a hand grenade in the garden of their new house in Exeter.

Warren and Claire Batty, who married in May, moved into a house in Newcombe Street Gardens, Heavitree, last week.

When Mr Batty, 27, was clearing out the pond he found the grenade.

3pm: Three men were taken to hospital with possible spinal injuries following a collision on the A396 at Stoke Canon.

The incident involved a taxi.

Two fire engines from Exeter and the rescue vehicle from Exmouth attended the scene and the crews helped the men from the vehicle.
