Surfer helped to shore at Woolacombe after suffering cramp
A surfer suffering from cramp was rescued from the sea at Woolacombe.
Two dog walkers contacted the coastguard after spotting the surfer in difficulty at around 1.30pm yesterday.
Ilfracombe's all-weather and inshore lifeboats launched and while crews made their way to the scene two other surfers helped the man and brought him back to shore.
A spokesman for Swansea Coastguard said the man had got into difficulty while attempting to paddle back to the beach.
