IT'S INTERESTING that of all the lavish productions produced by the BBC, Gareth Jones (February 9) finds such discomfort with an excellent science program that hammers yet another nail in the coffin of his bronze age inspired belief.
It's interesting that he accuses Dr Brian Cox (incorrectly) of the very same thing that he would claim himself i.e. that man was poofed into exist from nothing more than inert dust.
Do we need our children receiving a scientific education? Of course we do and we certainly don't need them wasting their science lessons on the pseudo science of young earth creationism which belongs firmly in the Religious Studies class.
As for blaming scientific furtherment for our "messed up" society, then he only has to look back at the atrocities committed centuries prior to the era of modern science, including those carried out on behalf of his own religion, to be embarrassed by such a comment.

If Mr Jones wants to remain uneducated then may I suggest he exercises his right to operate the on/off button on his remote, settle down by the fire with a cup of cocoa and read his book on talking snakes and magic trees etc.
