BARNSTAPLE TOWN switched their Devon Veterans Cup match against Okehampton Argyle to the all-weather pitch at the Park Community School.
And the move paid off as Matt Deakin scored five in a 9-0 triumph, booking a meeting with Bideford in the quarter-finals on December 9.
Deakin hit his first with a fine strike at a corner before Pete Turner (two), Dickie Reay and Mark Rippon completed the scoring.
