CULLOMPTON was left out of a bid for millions of pounds to improve road safety.

Devon County Council and the Highways Agency has secured £10.5m from a Government fund set aside to reduce bottlenecks. But junction 28 of the M5 was not considered because housing firms have been told to pay.
