Tamar Bridge closed to high-sided vehicles, ferries down to one, as wind batters Plymouth

The Tamar Bridge has been closed to high-sided vehicles, caravans and motorbikes because of high winds.

There is only one ferry operating across the Torpoint meaning there are delays of up to an hour.

Gusts of up to Gale Force 8 or between 60mph and 70mph are expected to hit Plymouth today.

Lanes are closed on the bridge.
