Tavistock to clear away 50 cluttering road signs
MORE than 50 road signs are to be removed to clear the clutter away from the centre of a pretty market town.
Devon County Council is to take away signs in Tavistock which it has decided are repetitive.

The council said more than 90 per cent of people welcomed the plan in a consultation.
Cllr Debo Sellis said many signs in the town were redundant.

She added: "We want to make the most of the town's World Heritage Site status and this will start with the removal of signs to de-clutter the town centre."
Cllr Sellis added there were five different signs within 200 metres which indicated a roundabout and there were two signs which said there was a school.
The consultation was held in October and covered other traffic issues and parking.
