Taxis to transfer passengers on Plymouth to Gunnislake line after train breaks down on line
RAIL passengers were put on taxis between Plymouth and Gunnislake after reports of a broken down train on the line.
Shortly after midday today First Great Western reported the incident via the National Rail Enquiries website.
The firm said the replacement service was extending journey times up to 60 minutes.
Stations affected include Plymouth, Devonport, Dockyard, Keyham, St Budeaux Victoria Road, Bere Ferrers, Calstock and Gunnislake.

The line was eventually reopened at around 4.40pm with “residual delays of up to 15 minutes” but the company reported that the line was completely clear and running normally as of around 5.15pm.
