Teignmouth singer Luke Friend wins contest
TEIGNMOUTH teenager Luke Friend (pictured) has won a national singing contest.
After winning regional heats, he performed at the final of Teen Star at London's O2 on Sunday and wowed the judging panel which was made up of music industry bosses.
His prize package includes social marketing, image and branding with Future Music, an initial extensive winner's publicity package and £5,000 to spend on the development of his music.
The Coombeshead Academy student sung his self penned track Fame of the Unfortunate Girl.

It has been a hectic week for Luke as he has also been to Wembley Arena to perform after being scouted by BBC's The Voice.
He will find out if they want to hear him perform again next month.
Luke has also auditioned for this year's X Factor and is keeping quiet about his chances of taking part.
Luke is now back at college and is appearing in Coombeshead Academy's production of We Will Rock You.
