Thieves swiped £1,000 Plymouth tool haul
MORE than £1,000 worth of tools were swiped from a builder's van by thieves who apparently used a grinder to break in.
The locked Citroën Relay was parked in York Road, Weston Mill, when it was targeted some time on Friday evening. The culprits are said to have attempted to break into the vehicle using a screwdriver.
They then appear to have used a grinder to get inside a padlocked box containing the pricey tools. Among their hail were Makita tools including a jigsaw, a breaker, an 18-volt drill, a nine-inch grinder and a circular saw. Also stolen was a Ryobi router and a Pasalode nail gun.
Police are understood to have taken potential DNA evidence from the scene as well as a screwdriver.

“yeah wright,,,,a screwdriver to break open the van and a grinder to break open a locked box?
pull the other one. Christmas is coming and a nice insurance cheque will be winging its way.
soon there will be the story of a single parent whose Christmas presents for each of the four kids, all from different men, have all been stolen from under the tree,,,,,,,,,,,,,, in november?”
