Tiverton Town have put experienced midfielder Kevin Hill in caretaker charge of first-team affairs at the  Devon non-League club, following the departure of manager Mark Saunders and assistant boss Hedley Steele.

Hill has been on the playing staff at Ladysmead since  September 2010. The Exeter-born 37-year-old  made his name as a player with Torquay United, for whom he made 417 Football League appearances between 1997 and 2008.

Saunders and Steele stepped down after Tuesday's 2-1 Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South and West home defeat to North Leigh.
