Torbay crash barrier repairs likely to cause delays

Drivers using the Torbay ring road are being warned to expect diversions and delays as repairs begin to a damaged section of crash barrier.

The damage was caused in an accident on Saturday. About 90 metres of barrier in the vicinity of the overbridge to Edginswell Lane was damaged.

Bags of sand are currently being used as a temporary barrier and work will start tomorrow to install 90 metres of more substantial, temporary barrier.

Torbay Council expects the work to be completed within one to two days.
