Torquay United beaten comfortably by Fleetwood
Torquay United were swept aside by rampant Fleetwood in a defeat which could easily have been heavier without some spectacular shot-saving by goalkeeper Martin Rice.
Alan Knill's side fell behind after only ten minutes when Antoni Sarcevic headed home a corner by Gareth Evans.
That followed two brilliant saves by Rice from Jamille Matt and Richard Creswell headers, and the United goalie continued to keep his side in the game until the 37th minute.
Then, Aaron Downes' clearance was seized on by Sarcevic, who fired low past Rice's right hand from 22 yards.

Rice was the hero until he flapped at another Evans corner, giving Matt a chance he could hardly miss in the 62nd minute…3-0.
Torquay improved after a double-substitution which saw the introduction of Danny Sullivan and Elliot Benyon, Suliivan testing home goalie Scott Davies for the first time in the 85th minute.
But when Benyon fired in off the left-hand post to make it 3-1 in the 89th minute, United could not hold on to that consolation.
Town sub Matty Blair scored with his first touch from David Ball's cross only a minute after Benyon's goal.
