Torrie and Bideford share the honours
AN ENTERTAINING local derby between Bideford Nomads and Torrington seconds finished 24-24 in front of a large crowd.
Torrie were disappointed not to claim victory having taken an early 12-0 lead and dominated the final quarter.
Nomads responded with tries from James Charles, Mark Westcott (two) and Fergal Milne either side of half time. Westcott added two conversions for a 24-12 lead.
Prompted by a fine display from hooker Gavin Mitchell, the visitors fought back.
